Our esteemed Federal Govt. client is seeking experienced 3x Senior Security Systems Engineers NV1 Cleared for a long term contract role
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Engineer to act as a subject matter expert providing advice design implementation and remediation of security controls across a diverse suite of technologies. This role supports multiple Australian Government entities enhancing the security posture of systems ranging from Official to Top Secret classification.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver expert advice and implement security controls across government systems.
* Develop documentation for security engineering and administrative tasks (SOPs design documentation change requests etc.).
* Facilitate and participate in workshops focused on security design and remediation.
* Develop and test prototype security configurations to inform guidance and standards.
* Implement security controls in line with the Information Security Manual (ISM) Essential Eight and other industry standards.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 7 years experience as a Systems Engineer with expertise in one or more of:
* Microsoft Active Directory
* Networking Gateway or Software Defined Networking
* Cross Domain Solutions and/or Diodes
* Sentinel or Splunk
* Enterprise Linux/Unix (e.g. RHEL)
* Cloud environments (Azure AWS GCP SaaS PaaS IaaS)
* Complex Windows Enterprise Environments.
* Ability to work independently and effectively in hybrid or remote teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical documentation and executive briefings.
