The nature of the business is design, manufacture and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders supporting multiple industries such as mining, construction, transport, energy, automation and customised technology for industrial markets within Australia and globally.
We are seeking an energetic and team orientated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
This is a full-time permanent position and available for an immediate start.
A Mechanical Engineering foundation will provide a key element in decision making and implementing manufacturing strategies in tune with the Engineering and Manufacturing Team.
This role focuses on scheduling and coordinating fabrication aspects of the manufacturing process and determines the sequence of operations, allocates resources, and creates the necessary documentation, including job cards.
You will also be responsible for monitoring the flow of work from supply procurement to actual manufacturing stages.
You will identify process gaps and consult with management to determine solutions.
Maintaining a clear and open line of communication is crucial in this position.
Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering seamless execution strategies to ensure the timely accomplishment of projects and meet production and scheduled delivery targets.
The secondary position involves commissioning and testing mobile equipment to specifications.
As the successful applicant you will be required to be part of the Manufacturing Team, you will report directly to the General Manager for full support and training.
You will have a strong drive to succeed, self-motivated, work with others, and be able to promote a safety conscious environment.
Key requirements:
Basic knowledge of manufacturing process principles
Basic knowledge AutoCad
Proficient in MS Office
Outstanding written and oral communications skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Detail-oriented and analytical
Streamlined interdepartmental communication
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Must have Australian Work Rights
Mechanical Engineering Degree or related field
