About the role We are currently inviting applications from experienced Underground MCU Operators for a position at the Cannington Mine in Queensland.This role operates on an 8-days-on, 6-days-off roster, with FIFO/DIDO options available. Candidates based in Townsville, Mt Isa, or Brisbane are preferred. Onsite camp accommodation and all meals are provided. What you will be doing Operate Mobile Manufacturing Units (MCUs) and other blasting-related equipment in both development and production environments.Provide technical support and operational blasting expertise to client blast crews and stakeholders.Assist with routine maintenance of blasting equipment and associated machinery.Participate in the hands-on delivery of explosive products into blast holes.Collaborate closely with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery to our clients.Uphold and exemplify our core value:"Safety is our Priority, Always." What you will bring Proven experience as an underground charge-up operator is essential.Prior experience operating an MCU or similar explosive delivery vehicle is highly desirable.Possession of a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle license, or the ability to obtain one within four weeks.Familiarity with electronic blasting systems is an advantage.Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.A proactive attitude toward safety, health, and environmental standards.A current Queensland Explosives Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical.
