As a Quality and Delivery Engineer, you’ll lead quality assurance and project delivery across construction and commissioning phases, ensuring compliant handover, system readiness, and alignment with safety and performance standards. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage inspections, documentation, and testing, supporting seamless transitions and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Support the approval and execution of the Quality Management Plan.
- Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) meet project and quality standards.
- Conduct and supervise routine inspections, audits, and checks.
- Monitor compliance with ISO 9001, QMS, and project‑specific quality protocols.
- Review method statements for quality and safety alignment.
- Organise third‑party and non‑destructive testing (NDT) as required.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate site records for project close‑out and handover.
- Control quality‑related documentation and ensure proper record‑keeping.
- Track deliverables including test reports, warranties, and certificates.
- Compile and submit monthly progress reports to stakeholders.
- Construct and manage O&M; manuals in line with contractual and regulatory standards.
Coordination and Communication
- Align quality activities with construction schedules.
- Facilitate timely RFIs/TQs and submission of quality deliverables.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams for smooth transitions.
- Assist in commissioning and handover strategies, including inspections and testing.
Continuous Improvement and Training
- Promote quality awareness and conduct training workshops.
- Perform audits on subcontractors and track corrective actions.
- Resolve quality issues and nonconformities through corrective measures.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System.
About You
- 5–10 years of experience in engineering and project delivery roles, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Experience in Defence projects is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of QMS management, commissioning, and documentation control.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering – Civil, Mechanical or Electrical.
- Lead Auditor certification desirable.
- Police clearance.
- White Card.
- Driver’s licence.
