Project Overview
The Illabo to Stockinbingal project (I2S) is a 39km new rail corridor located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai. It will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line. This role will be a 2:1 roster based on site in Cootamundra and surrounds, and will focus on Combined Services Route (CSR) construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and administer CSR construction engineering activities to ensure works are implemented in accordance with approved plans, designs and specifications.
* Assist with the preparation of CSR construction budgets and reports.
* Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Area Manager.
* Interpret CSR designs for constructability.
* Contribute to improvements to CSR design packages during the design development stages.
* Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders and procurement requisitions relating to the CSR works.
* Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
* Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
* Execute working knowledge of contractual, legislation and compliance with Railway asset owner Standards applicable to the CSR construction works.
* Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of installed CSR works.
* Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
* Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors and supervisors to achieve outcomes.
* Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management.
Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent.
* Experience in the construction of CSR for railway signalling.
* Experience on large Rail Construction projects.
* Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities.
* Understanding of the Project Design Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan.
* Pre‐contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements.

* Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects.
* Willing to DIDO.
* Or willing to relocate within an hour's commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
* Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off).
