Redpath Partners are working with a well-capitalised, privately backed property developer to appoint a Senior Development Manager to join their established and high-performing team.
With a strong, secured pipeline of large-scale residential and mixed-use developments across Sydney including multiple projects scheduled to commence construction in 2026 - this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of major projects within a vertically integrated development platform.
The Role
This is a senior, hands‐on role with end‐to‐end responsibility across complex residential and mixed‐use developments. You will lead projects from feasibility through approvals, delivery and handover, while providing guidance to Development Managers and working closely with internal construction, sales and commercial teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading major development projects across feasibility, planning, design, construction and completion
* Managing multidisciplinary consultant teams, contractors and key stakeholders
* Driving development programs, budgets, cashflows and commercial outcomes
* Working closely with in‐house construction teams to manage delivery, risk and value optimisation
* Collaborating with sales, marketing and finance teams to optimise product mix and market outcomes
* Providing clear reporting to senior leadership and contributing to strategic decision‐making
* Identifying risks, resolving issues and maintaining program certainty across multiple workstreams
* Mentoring and supporting Development Managers and junior team members

About You
You are an experienced development professional with a proven track record delivering major residential or mixed‐use projects.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience as a Development Manager or Senior Development Manager
* Strong understanding of feasibility, planning approvals, design coordination and construction delivery
* Experience managing large consultant teams and complex stakeholder environments
* Commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets, cashflows and program risk
* Confident communicator with leadership capability and executive presence
* Tertiary qualifications in Property, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline
