Job descriptionCollaborate with the Café Manager to lead daily operations of The Albion and Provisions Crêperie, ensuring consistently high standards of coffee, food, and service across both cafés.Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and operational efficiency.Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient service to all guests, maintaining a welcoming and attentive café environment.Take responsibility for training and upskilling café staff in barista skills, coffee preparation, customer service, and operational procedures across both locations.Lead café operations on days when café managers are not rostered, making operational decisions to maintain smooth service, manage costs and maintain a positive work environment for staff.Support the coordination and supervision of staff during service, mentoring team members to maintain consistency and efficiency.Support the Café Managers with staff rosters to maintain adequate staffing levels, while ensuring leave, time in lieu, and labour costs are managed appropriately.Support stock management across both cafés, assisting with ordering, supplier communications, deliveries, stock rotation, and reducing wastage while maintaining quality standards.Prepare detailed daily and weekly reporting for the Café Managers, including café revenue, expenses, and opportunities to improve business performance.Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation in all café areas.Support setup, service, and pack-down as required, actively participating as a member of the front-of- house team.Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback or issues, identifying opportunities to improve café presentation, food, and service, and escalating to café managers when necessary.Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times, following WHS and food safety procedures.Contribute to a positive and professional team culture across both cafés, leading by example in service, presentation, and professionalism, and display exceptional leadership by consistently demonstrating Mona Farm values, participating in staff meetings and activities with a positive attitude.Build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments, team members, and external suppliers, including negotiating supplier agreements where relevant.Represent The Albion and Provisions with warmth and professionalism, promoting the cafés and Mona Farm through the community and personal networks to uphold reputation and brand values.Support the implementation of new procedures, operational improvements, and café standards as directed by management.Maintain accurate end-of-shift reporting, including till reconciliation, inventory tracking, wastage logs, and handovers to café managers.Perform other duties as required to support the broader café and hospitality operations.
