About the roles
GEO Healthcare provides primary healthcare to men in public prisons across Victoria.
Enrolled nurses employed by GEO Healthcare deliver high‐quality patient care to men in Victoria's public prisons, enhancing and promoting health through evidence‐based, comprehensive and professional nursing care within a prison setting.
Opportunities exist for full‐time and part‐time (night shift 21:30‐7:30) positions at Ravenhall Correctional Centre.
Nursing staff are employed under the terms of an Enterprise Agreement. Terms and conditions include:
* Enrolled nurse salary range $71.6k‐$74.4k (full‐time). Part‐time positions are pro‐rated with additional night‐shift penalties.
* Annual salary increments for enrolled and registered nurses.

Key accountabilities, qualifications and experience required:
* Appropriate nursing qualifications and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum one year of post‐registration clinical experience.
* Ability to work independently without direct, immediate supervision.
* Ability to plan and coordinate patient care.
* Competence in clinical and problem‐solving skills.
* Ability to work within a multi‐disciplinary team.
* Ability to contribute to professional practice within the health facility.
* Competence in written and verbal communication and basic computer literacy.
* Clinical experience in primary health care is desirable.
Other requirements of the role
* Ability to work within a prison setting with direct contact with prisoners.
* Completion of a National Criminal History Check.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
* Working outside ordinary business hours may be required.
* Hold an immunisation provider certificate or be willing to obtain certification.
