Position Overview
The Youth Worker for the Bail Response program plays a critical role in addressing the risk factors leading to youth justice involvement. This full-time position (38 hours per week) offers flexibility in working hours, allowing you to meet the diverse needs of clients from across the South Burnett. You will work from our Murgon location and report directly to the Connections Team Leader.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong background in youth work or community services.
* Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field are desirable.
* Experience in Child Protection or Human Services, showcasing your ability to engage and support clients effectively.
* Skills in culturally sensitive communication, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* A valid Queensland Driver Licence and current First Aid/CPR certifications are required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in time management, accountability, and a commitment to ongoing professional development. You should be flexible in your availability to meet client needs, including after-hours program delivery.
Salary & Benefits
This position is classified under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS) as a Level 3.1 Social and Community Services Worker, with an hourly rate of $38.65 plus salary packaging options available.
