Overview
Opportunity for an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in capital equipment sales to join the Medication Management Solutions team for a high‐growth hospital territory within Victoria/Tasmania. The role focuses on marketing and selling BD's full MMS capital portfolio, including Alaris Infusion Systems, Pyxis Medication Dispensing, and BD Rowa automation into both public and private hospitals.
Responsibilities
* Own the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities to closing major deals.
* Drive new capital equipment sales across Rowa, Pyxis, and Alaris.
* Build relationships with clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
* Manage complex, long‐cycle sales processes (2 months to 2+ years).
* Lead demonstrations, workflow evaluations, and solution discussions.
* Develop territory and account plans with clear growth strategies.
* Partner with Marketing and Clinical teams to deliver campaigns and customer programs.
* Track market trends and competitor activity to shape approach.
* Maintain rigorous pipeline management and forecasting in CRM.
* Collaborate with other BD business units for aligned hospital engagement.
* Attend conferences, workshops, and hospital networking events.
Qualifications & Experience
* 3+ years experience selling capital equipment into hospitals.
* Experience generating own pipeline, not relying on inbound leads.
* Success winning business from challenger positions.
* Strong commercial acumen and funnel management discipline.
* Confidence influencing decisions across clinical, technical and executive levels.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
* Proactive, self‐motivated, growth‐mindset approach.
* Tertiary qualifications in science, nursing, engineering or business (desirable).
* Driver's licence and ability to travel within VIC/TAS.
