Contract opportunity | Web support desk project manager
ICON is looking for an experienced web support desk project manager to join our team on a short-term contract from mid-March to mid-April. This role supports a busy web support environment and will suit someone who is confident managing Drupal-based websites and translating support requests into clear, actionable work.
You will work closely with developers, designers, and clients to triage incoming tickets, prioritise work, and keep delivery moving smoothly.
About the role
Working with Senior Project Manager support, you will be responsible for managing a web support desk, acting as the key point of coordination between clients and delivery teams. The role is hands-on and delivery focused, with an emphasis on clarity, responsiveness, and practical problem solving.
Key responsibilities include:
* Triaging and managing support tickets using Jira
* Translating client requests into clear, actionable tasks for developers and designers
* Coordinating priorities, timelines, and workloads across multiple websites
* Communicating clearly with clients on scope, progress, and outcomes
* Supporting Drupal websites, including content updates, bug fixes, and minor enhancements
* Ensuring support work is documented, tracked, and delivered to a high standard
About you
You are organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable working across technical and non-technical stakeholders. You understand how web teams work and know how to turn ambiguous requests into practical next steps.
You will bring
* Strong experience working with Drupal websites in a support or delivery environment
* Solid working knowledge of Jira for ticket triage, prioritisation, and tracking
* Experience working closely with developers and designers
* Confidence dealing directly with clients and managing expectations
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A practical, solutions-focused mindset
