Data Analyst – Payroll Audit (Contract)
Location: Ashwood VIC 3147
Duration: 3–5 months (M-F)/one day week - hybrid option available after training
Hours: Part-time (5 hours per day)
Rate: $40–$45 per hour + Super
Role Overview
Hair and Skin Science is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Data Analyst to assist with a payroll audit. This role is focused on extracting and collating data from payroll reports across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Extraction: Systematically extract and collate historical data from past payslips, digital records, manual timesheet and payroll software.
* Excel Modelling: Build and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets to track hours worked, rates paid, and applicable allowances.
* Data Entry and Validation: Accurately input four years of manual timesheet data into Excel, ensuring consistency and correctness.
Required Skills & Experience
* Meticulous Attention to Detail: Proven ability to work with high volumes of sensitive data without errors.
* Numerical Literacy: Strong comfort level with payroll mathematics, including loadings, penalties, and pro-rata calculations.
* Experience: Previous experience in Xero, deputy, payroll backpay, payroll auditing, financial data analysis, or bookkeeping is highly regarded.
* Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism
