Operations Management Role
We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the day-to-day operational performance of production shifts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful people and production management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, particularly in the timber industry.
* Co-ordinate and drive the operational efficiency of production shifts to meet targets for productivity, quality, and safety.
* Develop and implement effective production schedules to ensure the site meets production and recovery targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Oversee maintenance activities, prioritise maintenance tasks, and plan preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and improve overall efficiency.
* Ensure quality checks and audits are in place across the site to maintain compliance with industry standards.
* Manage the performance and development of shift personnel, ensuring effective coordination between shifts and other sections of the site.
* Demonstrate leadership capability by applying effective engagement and communication strategies to motivate team members and drive business results.
About You
* A substantial track record of leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Trade-related qualifications and a mechanical background are highly desirable.
* Strong organisational and people management skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans to achieve business objectives.
* A proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including team members, customers, and suppliers.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to drive business growth.
