**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
Responsible for maintaining, service, diagnoses and repair mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles and associated equipment.
Perth based with site travel including uplift.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communicate and act on daily instructions from the Process Supervisor.
- Communicate with maintenance to discuss any planned maintenance or other problem identified in the plant.
- Working closely with the maintenance team in the monitoring and planning of maintenance activities
- Promptly report any operational variances from nominated set points to the Process Supervisor.
- Ensure operational checks are completed and noted defects are actioned or escalated to the Process Supervisor.
- Day to day operation of the Process Plant team; consisting of 3 stage crushing, Milling, CIL, Thickener, AARL Elution circuits and significant gold room.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with approved systems and processes.
- Follow plant operation procedures, monitoring plant conditions and throughout to ensure production goals are met.
- Establish and maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in individual work areas and throughout the plant and associated area.
- Actively contribute to a culture of safety and environmental awareness by identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk taking behaviours and actions.
- Safely operate the plant by controlling, monitoring, adjusting, fixing, recording, cleaning and improving all sections of the concentrator including;
- Weekly clean-up of specified area determined by the Process supervisor according to the clean-up roster.
- Safely operate common processes (Flammable, PFAS, Chemical Consolidations) sometimes in chemical PPE.
- Labelling and manifesting of wastes (incoming and stored) as per regulations
- External Household Waste Chemical Collections
- Sampling, testing and dispatch of waste samples for analysis.
- Provide general chemical advice around storage and handling to operations team
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
**ACADEMICS AND TRADES QUALIFICATION**
- Qualification (Tertiary qualification in chemistry)
- Confined Space Ticket (desirable)
- Gas Testing Ticket (desirable)
- Working at Heights Ticket (desirable)
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
**WORK EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS**
- Proven experience working in a mining or other heavy industry environment
- Strong understanding of mineral processing
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Experience with filtration, magnetic separation and flotation is advantageous
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Supplementary Pay:
