Role Overview
A very exciting opportunity exists for a creative and organised Marketing Coordinator to join The Lodge Wadjemup, the newest resort on Rottnest Island. Working for a truly unique destination just 30 minutes by ferry from Fremantle, this role offers the chance to shape and deliver marketing activity for a premium 109-room resort set within one of Western Australia's most iconic A-Class Reserves.
This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week with a salary of $80,000 per annum pro rata, based in our Fremantle office with frequent travel to the island as required. Perfect for an emerging marketing professional - including final-year students or recent graduates - looking to grow their career within an exciting tourism and hospitality brand who will enjoy bringing together digital content, food and beverage storytelling, campaigns, and on-the-ground execution.
You will play a key role in building brand presence, driving demand, and showcasing the full guest experience - from accommodation and dining to events and destination moments - while being part of an exciting, growing tourism offering on Wadjemup.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media and Digital Presence
* Create and publish compelling content that showcases the full guest experience, including our 109 rooms, Conference & Events Centre, Sunsets Bar & Dining, Pelican kiosk, seasonal offers, and the island location.
* Lead the day-to-day management of the hotel's social media channels, with a strong focus on storytelling, destination inspiration and food and beverage experiences, ensuring content remains seasonally relevant and engaging.
* Develop and maintain a dynamic social media content calendar aligned with winter campaigns, accommodation offers, food and beverage promotions, and destination-led narratives.
* Monitor social media engagement, audience sentiment, and emerging trends, adjusting content and messaging to support food and beverage visibility and overall demand during lower-occupancy periods.
* Support online reputation management by assisting with review monitoring and coordinated responses, with consideration for both accommodation and food and beverage feedback.
Internal Marketing Collateral
* Coordinate the production of internal marketing collateral to support food and beverage outlets, menus, seasonal offerings, and events.
* Develop, update, and manage menu assets, including printed menus, table inserts, wine lists, digital menus, and in-room collateral, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and compliance with pricing and dietary requirements.
* Produce marketing materials to promote F&B events, such as special dinners, tastings, and seasonal activations.
* Ensure all F&B marketing materials align with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual standards.
* Manage version control and approvals to ensure menus and event materials are current, accurate, and approved prior to distribution.
* Support the rollout of new menus, promotions, and events across internal channels and guest touchpoints.
* Maintain an organised library of F&B marketing assets for ongoing use and future campaigns.
Reporting and Administration
* Track and report on marketing activity and performance, particularly related to social media engagement, campaign reach, and winter initiatives.
* Maintain marketing calendars, asset libraries, and brand documentation.
* Support marketing administration, including supplier coordination and invoice processing as required.
About You
* Demonstrable experience in marketing or communications, ideally within hospitality, tourism, or destination-focused brands.
* A capable content creator able to independently produce high-quality, brand-aligned content without reliance on agencies for day-to-day execution.
* Strong experience managing social media for consumer-facing brands.
* Understanding of destination marketing principles and seasonal demand challenges.
* Experience coordinating with agencies, tourism bodies, or external partners.
* Strong written communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
Personal Attributes
* Proactive and commercially aware, with a strong interest in travel and destination storytelling.
* Creative and adaptable, with the ability to pivot messaging based on operational objectives and seasonal demand.
* Collaborative and comfortable working across internal teams and external partners.
* Highly organised, execution-focused, and detail-oriented.
