We are on the search for a Handy Girl who is an All-Rounder with the can-do attitude, problem solving turned to hands-on build, fix, repair results with an attention to detail and can take pride in the job completed. Ideally you have had a career being on the tools already - maybe a chippy, plumber or sparky, bricklayer or experienced DIY renovator and just looking for something a little different. No early morning starts or climbing along roof rafters or squeezing into tight dusty spaces on hot days or freezing mornings. You are fit and are capably skilled trade qualified or trade skilled (experience) who knows her way around tools and common-sense fix it know how knowledge.
You like solving problems and fixing the little things that are easy for you to do but not for others. Straightening cupboard doors, replacing cracked tiles, patching and painting, putting in shelving and doing minor landscaping. We know that some jobs are too big for one person and we have some limits to what we can and can't do. Our clients call us because they trust us and want us to help.
Handy Girl Australia is an all-female crew of property maintenance specialists and is currently seeking an experienced carpenter or trade experienced Maintenance Handy Girl to meet the ever growing need for our services.
Our team usually works between 830am-4.30pm (Monday to Friday) and will require a certain level of physical fitness and be able to operate and carry the necessary tools of the trade (and job) including ladders, timber, other plant and associated trade-specific power tools and hand tools. The role also entails reviewing job requirements, systematically stepping out of job steps, working with others (including Handy Girls and other weeding, pruning and light landscaping while working with other Team members.
We do require a current Resume, cover letter, referees and successful completion of all employee onboarding tasks. Above all we are wanting an experienced hard worker (rain, hail and shine) to join our team with a willingness to be a valued Team Member.
Ideally you are licenced to drive (preferably a manual vehicle), have a current police check and a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWCC and have empathy towards those who need help maintaining their homes. However, these latter certificates can be attained post-interview.
