Our client, Gunnedah Smash Repairs is a well-established smash repair business, committed to high quality workmanship, prompt service and customer satisfaction. They specialise in vehicle body repairs, spray painting, panel beating and full refinishing for a wide variety of vehicles. They are currently seeking for a skilled Vehicle Painter to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking as required.
* Mix and match paint colours to ensure an accurate finish.
* Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats using spray painting equipment in spray booths.
* Conduct touch-ups and refinishing as needed.
* Inspect finished work to ensure high quality and compliance with specifications.
* Maintain and clean tools, spray guns, and equipment.
* Follow occupational health and safety procedures and use PPE appropriately.
* Collaborate with panel beaters and other workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Skills & Experience Required
* atleast 3 years of relevant experience
* Strong skills in colour matching and paint mixing.
* Proficient in spray gun application and knowledge of various paint types and finishes.
* Excellent sanding, masking, and surface preparation techniques.
* High attention to detail with the ability to deliver quality finishes.
