Financial Risk Manager

Job Description:
The Financial Risk Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the company has robust processes and systems to protect against Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (ML/TF) risks. You will collaborate with other senior leaders across customer-facing teams and support functions to ensure effective first and second lines of defence mechanisms. Additionally, you will serve as the designated 'AML/CTF Compliance Officer' under the AML/CTF Act and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the implementation of the company's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) Program. This includes acting as the liaison on all AML/CTF matters with regulatory bodies, providing information, comment, and feedback to industry bodies, and identifying and recommending enhancements to the program.
You will also assist in the risk assessment process for new products, services, delivery channels, and key technologies. Furthermore, you will collaborate with third-party providers involved in the provision of the company's AML/CTF and financial crimes systems to provide optimal service and capability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation and its application within the banking/financial services industry. You will also need excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and positively influence outcomes.
Additionally, you will need strong organisational and time management capabilities, in order to meet competing deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. You will also need to demonstrate experience in researching, interpreting, and applying legislation and regulator guidance.
