The Role:
$40 - $50 hourly based off experience.
As a Fire Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for testing, inspecting & maintaining a broad range of Essential Safety Systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, relevant Australian standards, the National Construction Code (NCC) and local statutory requirements.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate your experience in the testing & inspection of wet, dry and passive fire systems. You must:
• Have proven experience in testing fire systems in accordance with AS
• Have a sound understanding of AS
• Have strong fault and defect finding skills
• Have the ability to provide solutions for reported faults and defects
• Adhere to client sign in procedures
• Strong commitment to safe work practices is essential
• Willingness to upskill and learn new systems.
• Be presentable and represent the company well.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
You will have experience in undertaking testing of the following as per AS1851:
• Portable Fire Extinguishers
• Fire blankets
• Hydrants
• Hose reels
• Fire panels
• Sprinkler systems and associated Fire Pump sets, Water tanks
• Fire Doors
• Emergency and Exit lighting systems.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in fire protection inspection, testing, maintenance.
• Working knowledge of AS 1851
• Ability to work independently on site and manage assigned tasks using Uptick.
• White Card
• Valid manual driver's licence
The Successful applicant will join a dedicated preventative maintenance division supported by 5 highly skilled repair divisions. Pay rates negotiated based off proven experience.
