Provide support to academic staff teaching Simulated Learning Activities within the Faculty of Health
About the Position
As the Technical Officer (Simulation), you will provide essential technical support for the clinical and virtual simulation activities across the Faculty of Health. You will play an important role in supporting academic staff in the provision of teaching, research, and community engagement activities.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Relevant qualifications and experience or an equivalent combination of knowledge and/or training and experience to a bachelor's degree level in a health-related discipline.
* Knowledge and experience in preparing and using clinical simulation equipment and associated software systems.
* Knowledge of clinical simulation safe working practices and WHS regulations, especially regarding storage and disposal of medical gases and biological materials.
* Demonstrated clinical simulation skills including maintenance of facilities, management of equipment and clinical practice supplies, and accurate record keeping.
* Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and to adapt to a changing and flexible work environment, while maintaining initiative, self-motivation, and discipline.
* Possess a working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office applications, and an aptitude for using online procurement systems and databases.
* Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills with awareness and knowledge of the importance of a culturally safe workplace.

Desirable competencies
* Knowledge and expertise in online learning management systems and audiovisual equipment.
* Practical experience with Augmented and Virtual Reality technology.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $75,927 to $87,716 per annum on a pro rata basis. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $88,834 - $102,627 per annum on a pro rata basis including 17% superannuation.
