Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is seeking a Receptionist – Newman Hub to provide professional front‐of‐house reception and administrative support to the Newman administrative hub.
Reporting to the Executive Officer and accountable to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for supporting the smooth day‐to‐day operation of the Newman office.
As the first point of contact for clients, visitors and staff, the Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional and culturally safe environment for community members accessing PAMS services.
This position works closely with the Corporate Services team and supports office operations through reception duties, communication management and general administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional front‐of‐house reception services, ensuring a welcoming and culturally safe environment
* Answer and redirect switchboard calls and manage messages and communications
* Provide general administrative support, including document preparation, data entry and maintaining registers
* Coordinate mail, meeting bookings and office administration, liaising with staff, contractors and community members as required
Selection Criteria
* Experience in a reception or administrative role
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Competency using Microsoft Office and general office systems
* Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
* Certificate III in Business Administration or similar qualification
* Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service environment
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply

About PAMS
The Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service based in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia.
PAMS delivers comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary healthcare services to the Martu people of Newman and the remote Aboriginal communities of Jigalong, Parnngurr, Punmu and Kunawarritji.
