As a result of consistent growth and a strong pipeline of commercial projects, we are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team and take charge of managing multiple painting projects across the region.
Your Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery
* Manage allocated commercial painting projects from commencement to completion.
* Ensure each project meets margin targets and timeline requirements.
* Liaise with builders, clients, and key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
* Conduct daily site inspections and maintain a visible onsite presence.
* Review site documentation and plan works with Supervisors and subcontractors.
* Ensure proper sign-off of site instructions and variations by relevant site managers.
Team Leadership
* Lead and coordinate teams of painters, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Manage site labour including recruitment and termination where necessary.
* Promote a high-performing, positive team culture.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
* Uphold and enforce company procedures, safety protocols, and site documentation standards (e.g. Toolbox talks, ITPs, timesheets).
* Ensure compliance with all building codes, WHS requirements, and industry regulations.
Cost & Risk Management
* Monitor and control project budgets and expenses.
* Oversee ordering of materials, ensuring efficient usage and minimising wastage.
* Proactively identify risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
Client & Documentation Management
* Respond to RFIs, delay notices, and client correspondence.
* Confidently interpret finishes schedules, scopes of works, drawings, and markups.

* Proven experience in project management within the commercial painting industry.
* Strong and extensive knowledge in the painting industry.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and people management skills.
* Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under pressure.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, scopes, and documentation.
