* This role is based in Breakwater, Geelong.
Main tasks:
* Must be confident & very capable stainless steel and aluminium welder!
* Responsible for the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment and pipelines including pumping stations, sewer and water treatment plants, pipelines, water fleet and plant.
* Assigned activities will be performed both in the workshop and in field-based environments.
* Responsible for the general fabrication/installations of pipeline specials, structural steel components along with project work.
* Carry out General Boilermaker duties including the use of welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)
* Responsible for the general Maintenance/installations/project work of assets and components.
* Carry out unplanned (breakdown) maintenance on failed, faulty, or damaged assets to achieve best practice.
* Work cooperatively with other teams within the business and workshop.
Successful candidates will have the following:
* Certificate III in Engineering E.g. Boilermaker
* High standard of work with attention to detail
* A recognised qualification in the safe operation of gantry, forklift, and truck-mounted cranes is desirable
* Competent in the use of computers
* Demonstrated experience of current and emerging technologies related to field maintenance services is desirable
* An understanding of industrial relations issues and a commitment to EEO and OH&S practices.
* Ability to read and follow design plans/sketches for fabrication.
