The Opportunity
Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Outcomes Research and Pricing Senior Associate for Australia, supporting AU/NZ initiatives from Australia. The role collaborates with the Outcomes Research Senior Manager and the Pricing Manager to generate evidence that informs market access and pricing decisions. This role will have a split focus, outcomes research (~70%) and pricing (~30%). The goal is to produce timely, practical evidence that strengthens value propositions and supports reimbursement and pricing strategies in Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
Outcomes Research (70%)
- Design and oversee local real‑world evidence (RWE) studies, including retrospective and prospective analyses, using secondary data sources to assess real‑world effectiveness, safety, and health outcomes.
- Translate study findings into actionable insights for cross‑functional partners and support dissemination through publications, internal training, and stakeholder communications.
- Advise on study concepts, analytic approaches, and dissemination plans; foster relationships with registries, data custodians, and external collaborators.
Analytical Acumen and Value Capture
- Develop analytic plans for studies and contribute to cross‑functional analyses addressing business questions.
- Communicate insights that help optimize product value and reimbursement potential.
Relationship Management
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners; align with Janssen global/regional standards and processes.
Pricing (30%)
- Support pricing strategy development, including budget implications for submissions and internal approvals.
- Assist with forecasting models for pipeline products and indications; identify data gaps early in development.
- Monitor regulatory and government data obligations, including deeds with the Commonwealth Government as needed.
- Assist in maintenance of internal pricing records and development of assumptions for business planning periods.
Project Management
- Work with regional/global pricing peers to ensure pricing and reimbursement strategies align with global value policies and timelines.
About You
- Post‑graduate degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field is desirable.
- Required: Minimum 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry; experience in health economics and/or pricing preferred.
- Desirable: Knowledge of statistical analysis; proficiency in TreeAge, STATA, R, SAS; desirable health economics qualifications.
