Your new role
The Saleyards Maintenance Labourer supports the Saleyards Manager in the effective operation and upkeep of the Saleyards portfolio. Our client has one of the most important livestock marketplaces in CQ and serves the largest beef herd in Australia. Your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and find you completing tasks like groundskeeping, livestock handling, maintenance, and saleyard hygiene.
What you'll need to succeed
Extensive general labouring skills, including demonstrated ability to undertake manual handling and general maintenance
Experience operating Skid Steer loader or similar machinery
Proven ability to work in the outdoors for extended periods
Proven ability to operate a variety of handheld power tools and machinery
Sound literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work effectively in a small team
Knowledge of workplace health and safety considerations relevant to the role and how to limit risks in the environment where this role operates
Minimum C Class provisional drivers' licence
ACDC statement of attainment and Commercial Operators Licence (or ability to obtain)
Skid Steer statement of attainment or ticket (or ability to obtain)
