BGT is working closely with a local valve manufacturer to recruit an Apprentice, undertaking Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitter & Turner).

The Role:
As an Apprentice Fitter & Turner, you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality Valves through precision machining, meticulous assembly, and rigorous quality assurance.
You will undertake a Nationally recognised qualification and will experience a sense of confidence knowing that you are partnering with a trusted industry leader committed to excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform precision fitting, assembly and turning operations on valve components
Read and interpret technical drawings, ensuring accurate specifications are met
Collaborate seamlessly with our engineering team to ensure flawless project Valve execution.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet rigorous standards of performance and safety.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on machining equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Learn how to diagnose and repair mechanical issues that arise with manufacturing machinery including lathes, milling machines and grinders.
