Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Shift Leader to join our franchise team in Thrumster, Australia. As a Shift Leader, you will be at the heart of our operations, leading from the front and creating a positive, efficient environment where both team members and customers thrive. You will oversee daily shift operations, ensure compliance with all standards, and contribute to the success of our franchise through exceptional leadership and customer service.
* Oversee and manage all daily shift operations, including staff scheduling, roster management, and resource allocation - Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, health and hygiene standards, and all relevant workplace policies
* Lead, mentor, and support team members during their shifts, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment - Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism - Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering procedures to maintain optimal stock levels - Handle cash transactions, reconciliation, and financial responsibilities with accuracy and transparency
* Monitor and maintain product quality and consistency throughout your shift, ensuring brand standards are upheld - Train new team members during their induction, supporting their development and integration into the team - Communicate effectively with management, team members, and customers, ensuring clear and transparent dialogue - Adapt quickly to changing priorities and make decisive decisions in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment - Contribute to achieving sales targets and implementing new procedures or promotions as directed by management
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
* Proven leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality, quick‐service restaurants (QSR), or similar fast‐paced environments
* Strong communication and people skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
* Excellent time‐keeping and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
* Demonstrated experience in staff scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling
* Knowledge of food safety compliance and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment
* Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve complaints professionally
* Strong decision‐making skills and resilience in high‐pressure situations
* A positive attitude, collaborative approach, and genuine passion for team success
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with point‐of‐sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software
* Knowledge of food cost analysis and basic financial management
* Experience in training and developing team members
* Familiarity with franchise operations and brand standards
Mandatory Certifications:
* First Aid Certificate (current and valid)
* CPR Certificate (current and valid)
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
