We are seeking a talented Sales Representative who can confidently sell insulation products in the construction industry for commercial and multi-residential projects.
You will have daily face-to-face or phone contact with sub-contractors, builders, insulation installers, contract administrators, and trade outlets / distributors, and work alongside an existing team.
We aim to provide all customers with a positive customer service experience, unrivalled technical support, and premium competitively priced products.
The ideal applicant will be tenacious, self-motivated, and confident in selling in a competitive industry, and have strong communication skills suited to technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities include:
* Chase and track projects and specifications, provide competitive quotes and close sales.
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
* Provide solutions-based sales support to contractors, builders, architects, and distributors.
* Conduct site visits, and phone or in-person meetings, to win new business.
* Track projects from design and tender phase, through to construction and supply.
* Provide product knowledge, technical information, and after sales support as required.
To be successful you ideally have:
* Proven track record in building materials sales (insulation or similar).
* Experience selling to builders, contractors, architects, and distributors.
* Experience with the specification process and tracking construction projects over a long period.
* Good understanding of the subcontractor/builder relationship and ability to get everyone onboard.
* Demonstrated ability to convert product specifications and solid experience in solution selling.
It will be highly regarded if you also have:
* Strong insulation product knowledge and/or building materials sales experience.
* Existing networks and customer relationships in the construction industry.
