Job Overview
This role involves preparing and cooking nutritious meals according to dietary requirements using approved recipes.
Key Responsibilities
* To competently prepare and cook nutritious meals according to dietary requirements of clients using the MOWFC approved recipes.
* To monitor food and products so that quality is maintained to a high standard and to meet/exceed National Meal Guidelines.
* To assist in all kitchen operations, as per Kitchen Production Manager direction.
* To oversee and supervise Volunteers in all aspects of preparation & plating, when required.
* To ensure all HACCP & National Food Safety Legislative requirements are met/exceeded.
* To minimise waste and ensure recording of waste is up to date.
* Be able to work as part of a team, and also autonomously.
* Sound written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, clients and customers.
* Proven ability to plan and prioritise work to achieve required outcomes.
* Certificate III in Cookery (minimum).
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Demonstrated experience in a food service environment.
* Able to work within a Team environment and work autonomously, when required, with a mature mindset.
* Willing to learn and embrace change.
* C Driver's Licence.
* Previous experience in Community/Aged Care settings.
