You'll conduct routine analyses and ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely results in a fast-paced laboratory environment.This is a full-time, permanent position based at Perth Airport, WA, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills with a global leader in testing and certification.Your Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToUndertake routine preparations and analysis of soil and water samples.Ensure equipment and laboratory is kept clean to avoid contamination.Carry out scheduled instrument calibration and maintenance in accordance with written procedures.Assist in receiving, unpacking and registering samples received.Assist in the disposal of samples as required.Understand and adapt general laboratory QA/QC criteria and NATA accreditation requirements.Ensure that safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and when necessary.Perform other duties as directed by your Supervisor.Maintain and update skills, qualifications and knowledge through internal, external and on-the-job training/courses to support continuous development and improvement.QualificationsWhat You'll Need to SucceedHold a TAFE or tertiary qualification in Chemistry.Have working experience in a laboratory environment (preferably an environmental laboratory).Be flexible with working hours and tasks (mainly Monday to Friday, afternoon shift).Additional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?Working at SGS means joining an innovative, Global company.
