Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government organisation to recruit a new APS6 Communications and Change Officer to join them in a temporary capacity.
This company is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing programs that support a better life those with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
**Your new role**
The APS6 Change and Communications will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems.
It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Organisation’s objectives.
This position will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues.
It may liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch, division, and the organisation.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Developing internal and external communications, including executive and ministerial correspondence, presentations, project updates, reports and intranet.
- Developing, implementing, evaluating and communicating change management requirements, plans and schedules including proposing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Consulting, influencing and advising project stakeholders on how to effectively manage, implement and communicate change to various audiences.
- Supporting capital works delivery by providing communication and change support including assessing and streamlining team communication processes and pathways.
- Identifying, assessing and reporting communication and change risks and implementing strategies to resolve.
- Undertaking information collation to assist internal stakeholders communicate responses to enquiries.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications or previous experience in Communications, Change Communications, Stakeholder Relations, Marketing, Media or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
- Hold an Australian Citizenship status.
