About the opportunity
The Production Estimator is part of the Wilson Homes Estimating team and reports to the Production Estimating Manager. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to accurately determine and calculate quantities required from contract documentation and working drawings.
* Ensure the efficient and accurate production of building estimates
* Check contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
* Ensure company‐agreed turnaround timeframes and margin structures are adhered to
* Complete quantity take‐offs for building materials and labour
* Issue and maintain purchase orders in accordance with the current purchasing/supplier agreements and methods of measurement
* Complete subcontractor and credit invoices
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute to final checking of team members' work and provide appropriate feedback
* Perform other associated administrative duties
About you

* Estimating experience in a similar role and industry
* Excellent numeracy skills
* Understanding of the Building Code of Australia and NCC
* Exceptional computer skills with a medium to advanced knowledge of Excel
* Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and strive to reach targets
* A self‐motivated attitude with a continuous improvement mindset
