The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take on a pivotal role within our operations. This position offers the right candidate the chance to make the role their own while contributing to the efficient coordination of deliveries, despatches, and warehouse operations.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating deliveries, overseeing stock management, and leading a team of store personnel to ensure timely and accurate despatch of materials. You will ensure adherence to safety protocols while working to meet customer requirements and processing schedules. Excellence in customer service and safety is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate store personnel, prioritising tasks and ensuring smooth material flow.
- Manage stock requirements and ensure materials are picked, checked, and assembled for dispatch.
- Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring the correct materials and quantities are dispatched.
- Schedule and prioritise deliveries, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with the Production Manager and Finishing Leading Hand to ensure seamless stock management and processing.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, product identification, and warehouse organisation.
- Ensure safe operating practices and compliance with OH&S; regulations at all times.
- Conduct equipment checks and oversee maintenance, liaising with relevant departments and external contractors as necessary.
- Contribute to the development of warehouse procedures and policies.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leading hand or supervisory role in the aluminium / finishing industry or a similar industry.
- High reach and forklift operating tickets.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, distribution, and logistics.
- Heavy vehicle handling skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and coordinate activities.
- Be "hands on".
- Ability to lift up to 20kg unassisted.
- Strong computer skills using MS Office, Epicor Software an advantage.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
