The Role |
The Department Manager of Seafood will be responsible for the daily operations of the department and will lead a team of talented individuals.
- Have a hands-on approach, maintaining stock levels within the store, rotating stock, and keeping stock well presented at all times
- Have a love of seafood and have the ability to work with the product efficiently
- Submit incident reports, and ensuring policies/guidelines are adhered to by employees
- Be able to effectively manage a roster, timesheets and leave requests to ensure the department operates effectively and efficiently
- Manage the team with daily tasks and expectations, performance, training & development and appraisals
- Work effectively with other Departments to ensure our customers have access to the best of the best and keep coming back for more
- Providing exceptional customer service and building a strong rapport with our customers and team
- Solid experience with perishables is advantageous to the role.
- Understanding of computer-based systems
- Be able to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, teamwork and genuine concern for others
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships both internally and externally
- Have excellent problem-solving skills and be able think outside the box
- Keep a clean and organised workspace whilst adhering to our OHS and Food Safety guidelines
