About the Role The Research Partnerships Coordinator provides timely and accurate pre-award support to academic colleagues, ensures smooth transition to post-award management of successful research projects, and supporting research impact initiatives and coordination of processes supporting research infrastructure.
In a typical week at work, you may:
4. Develop, deliver and provide operational support for initiatives and activities that enhance and increase research-related engagement and research income for social and environmental benefit
5. Provide authoritative advice on the costing and pricing of research grants and contracts that is fully compliant with internal and external policies and contribute to related communication and training material
6. Coordinate faculty level processes related to research infrastructure funding
Who We Are Looking For
The Research Partnerships Coordinator is key to the success of the Science Research Office team, and is a well organised, curious and proactive team player, able to use initiative, embrace technology and display sound judgement to communicate effectively with academic and professional staff.
You will have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and proven ability to clearly communicate complex information and ideas in a succinct and concise way for a broad audience of stakeholders. You will have a strong attention to detail and data accuracy; experience interrogating databases and curating data for reports; and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ideally, you will further have:
7. A tertiary degree and/or an equivalent combination of relevant education/training in the tertiary sector
8. Experience in research administration within the University sector or an equivalent level of experience in industry or government research organisations
9. Knowledge of research administration and development cycles, including the interpretation of sponsor guidelines, principles of costing and pricing of research, ethical compliance and financial accountability
