About the role:
The Industry Development Project Officer – Emerging & Critical Technologies supports the growth of South Australian industry by contributing to the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and projects across cyber security, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and advanced manufacturing. The role involves research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities, drive cross-sector collaboration, and support economic growth and industry capability uplift.
Key competencies
Demonstrated understanding of Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technologies, Advanced Manufacturing, and Critical Technologies sectors.
Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies and processes to implement, monitor and audit innovative strategies, including using sound evaluation techniques and processes.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build and maintain productive relationships across the emerging and critical technologies sectors.
Strategic, conceptual, and creative thinking skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex business challenges at both operational and strategic levels using sound judgment and evidence-based approaches.
Remuneration
Competitive salary $98,478 to $104,165 p.a. plus superannuation

Essential:
Nil
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in economics, public policy, STEM, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Special Conditions
The role will be offered full-time (1.0 FTE), initial 12-month term contract.
Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) required prior to employment.
