* Permanent Full-Time, Part-time or Casual Job Opportunities Available – up to 38 hours per week!
* Attractive weekly salary ranging from $1,075.75 up to $1,286.40 (permanent work). Casuals receive $35.39 up to $40.28 per hour (including 25% leave loading).

At Moree Plains Shire Council, we are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and calm Childcare Assistant to join the dedicated team at Mungindi Day Care and Preschool. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Children Services, you will assist in delivering a consistent and nurturing environment for our children. This role is essential in fostering strong relationships with families and the wider community while collaborating with colleagues to drive continuous improvement across the Centre.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting children's care and learning on a day-to-day basis by supervising play and supporting daily routines such as meals and rest.
* Building warm and respectful relationships with children to encourage their independence and positive behaviour.
* Assisting in the practical implementation of planned experiences linked to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
* Maintaining a clean and safe environment by following hygiene procedures and conducting regular safety checks.
* Responding to individual needs, including health, dietary, developmental, and emotional requirements with sensitivity.
* Maintaining educator-to-child ratios and current qualifications at all times.
* Providing positive behaviour guidance by modelling empathy, inclusion, and calm interactions.
* Supporting child protection policies and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children through effective supervision.

About You
You are a collaborative and organised team player who can communicate effectively with both adults and children. You have a genuine interest in early childhood development and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all professional interactions.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
* Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently working towards it) with practical experience.
* Proven ability to meet the individual needs of infants and young children in a positive and caring manner.
* Strong organisation and time-management skills with the ability to work competently in a team.
* Ability to support a creative and stimulating programme based on individual interests.
* Working knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant industry regulations.
Required Tickets, Licences and/or Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years of age or older with a Year 12 Certificate or equivalent.
* Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management).
Desirable Criteria
* Current Class C Drivers Licence (NSW).
Required Clearances and Checks:
* Working with Children Check (NSW).
* National Criminal History Check.
* Pre-employment medical, which may include drug and alcohol testing.
* Evidence of required vaccinations/immunisations (e.g., Whooping Cough, MMR, Hepatitis A).
