**The opportunity**:
Procurement partners with Business Unit stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes that are aligned to Bupa APAC's (Market Unit) enterprise strategy. A focus of the procurement team is the development of key commercial capabilities, promoting consistency in practices and methodologies, simplifying governance, and promoting repeatable and reusable policies and practices to support business requirements.
The Procurement Commercial Manager - In directs will operate across Bupa APAC (Australia and Hong Kong), influencing at senior levels through to the front line. They will have the capacity to influence and promote change and be a passionate team player, inspiring excellence, coaching for extraordinary results and tangible benefits. Prior experience and exposure to indirect categories is preferred but not strictly required.
The role will have responsibility for the development and execution of strategic sourcing activities and supporting Business Owners with supplier management activities across a range of spend categories. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and comply with a variety of company Policies and Processes.
This is a permanent full time position in Melbourne. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home)

- Supporting the broader APAC Procurement team and contributing individually to deliver agreed commercial outcomes that include cost reduction to the business budgets, cost avoidance to the business, improved payment terms, improved speed to market, improvements in the customer experience, and improved quality of service to internal stakeholders
- Engaging and influencing a range of key business stakeholders to deliver outcomes. Key to this will be collaboration with key business stakeholders and other Procurement team members
- Support the Portfolio Manager and Head of Procurement by partnering with stakeholders across the APAC business to resolve competing priorities as they arise
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing process in accordance with company process, including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, baseline validation, RFx management, supplier negotiations, contract finalisation and stakeholder interactions during and after the sourcing process

**What do I need?**
- Relevant graduate or post graduate qualifications in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering or Law
- Significant experience in commercial management, from strategy development to execution
- Extensive experience in leading successful commercial negotiations, with evidence of applied innovative thinking, persuasiveness and negotiation skills, and strategic negotiation planning
- An ability to work effectively within a matrix-style organisation including at global level
- Significant business, commercial and financial acumen
- Prior experience and exposure to indirect categories is preferred but not strictly required.
