Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

About The Role
The Principal Facilities Manager leads a team responsible for delivering facilities and asset management services across both owned and non-owned locations within Court Services Victoria. This leadership role is central to overseeing a broad range of operational services and processes that support the physical and strategic functioning of court facilities and office accommodation.
* Leading and developing a team to deliver best-practice asset management, building compliance, and maintenance planning across a diverse property portfolio.
* Providing expert technical advice and leadership to ensure contract compliance, risk management, and delivery of responsive facility services.
* Driving strategic asset planning by identifying critical infrastructure needs to inform budget bids and support the court operating environment.
* Ensuring procurement and contractor management processes meet governance, safety, and legislative requirements.
* Championing continuous improvement by embedding Quality Management Systems, overseeing emergency responses, and supporting policy development and reporting.
This is a 12 month fixed term role.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a strategic and hands-on Facilities Management leader with a strong technical background and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
* Extensive experience in facilities or asset management within complex property portfolios, ideally in a public sector or critical service environment.
* Able to lead and mentor teams, build capability, and drive a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.
* A strong understanding of procurement governance, contract management, and compliance with OH&S, environmental, and building regulations.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
* Sound judgement and analytical skills to support risk assessment, strategic planning, and preparation of high-quality reports, briefs, and policy documentation.
