JR0000016257 – Research Associate / Project Coordinator in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Public Health Research

Position Levels: HEO6 (Higher Education Officer Level 6) or Level A (Academic Level A), Fixed Term • 2 years • 0.6FTE to 1FTE (22.05 – 36.75 hours per week).

Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country.

Salary: HEO6: $92,287 – $98,398 p.a. (pro‐rata if part time); Level A: $88,842 – $107,666 p.a. (pro‐rata if part time).

Project Coordinator (HEO6) – Responsibilities

* Deliver Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Public Health Research Team project outcomes and milestones.
* Manage calendars, event scheduling, meeting notes, actions, booking venues and catering.
* Contribute to confidential and ethical data management for designated projects.
* Assist the Project Research Team with preparation and submission of ethics applications (including AHREC and SA Health sites).
* Establish and maintain collaborations within the university and at state, national and international levels to improve research outputs, patents and publications.

Project Coordinator (HEO6) – Qualifications

* Completion of a degree with relevant experience, or extensive experience and/or specialist expertise or broad knowledge in public health, or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver project targets on time.
* Well‐developed experience handling confidential information ethically, securely and professionally, including research results and communication with stakeholders.
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or other marginalised communities.

Research Associate (Level A) – Responsibilities

* Lead allocated projects by collaborating with the Project Research Team to deliver milestones and KPIs, coordinating, planning and executing tasks.
* Plan and execute research: propose new ideas, review literature, actively participate in data collection and analysis, attend seminars, meetings and conferences.
* Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders, support participant recruitment and communication.
* Contribute to ethical, high‐quality and innovative research and evaluation through scholarship, publication, external grant acquisition and presentations aligned with the college's research focus.
* Assist principal supervisors with supervision of postgraduate students.

Research Associate (Level A) – Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in confidential and ethical data collection and analysis, and contributing to project planning and coordination.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver project targets on time.
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or other marginalised communities.
* Demonstrated ability to critically review literature in relevant fields.

Prescribed Conditions

* Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check acceptable to the university (may be assessed on individual merits).
* Current Working with Children Check accepted in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA).
