Research Engineer - Fusion & Tracking | Adelaide SA, Adelaide Engineering 14432BR About us: STELaRLab is Lockheed Martin's first dedicated multi-disciplinary research lab to be setup outside of the US and conducts research in artificial intelligence, signal and image processing, communication systems and multidomain operations (MDO) to deliver exciting outcomes that advance Australian capability. Your responsibilities will include: Actively contribute to the development of detailed research programs to achieve R&D objectives. Execute research plans, and document results. Develop solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems, and implement effective approved solutions. Attend and contribute to customer meetings as required. Contribute to the successful completion of specific programs and initiatives. About you: PhD or equivalent experience in addition to mathematical or scientific tertiary qualifications. Experience working within an engineering or project environment (preferably in the defence industry). Experience in state estimation, target tracking, and data fusion algorithms such as Kalman filtering, Particle filtering, and Multiple-hypothesis tracking. Ability to produce timely and accurate written reports as required. Software development skills in Python, MATLAB, C++ or similar. Special Requirements: As a NV1 security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens to be eligible and maintain this level of security clearance.
