Loan Kit Coordinator – UnitingCare Queensland
Employment Term: Full Time.
Remuneration: $36.47 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging.

Responsibilities
* Coordinate with loan companies, sales representatives, surgeons and the hospital theatre to ensure loan sets are delivered on time and contain necessary instrumentation.
* Ensure that all incoming loan sets are registered and checked following hospital procedure and completion of appropriate forms.
* Maintain responsibility for ensuring that any loan sets received on the day of surgery or for emergency surgery are fast‑tracked and management is advised of the process and progress.
* Ensure that all implants are checked in manually or by using the Magellan.
* Assist the CSSD department with sterilisation as required and directed.
Qualifications
* Current clinical experience in sterilisation techniques.
* Loan Kit experience essential.
* Understanding of Australian Standard 4187‑2014.
* Familiarity with ACHS Standards.
* Knowledge of NHMRC Guidelines for the prevention of transmission of infectious diseases.
* Experience with handling used items for sterilisation process, including collection procedures and precautions.
* Experience with decontamination and disinfection processes.
* Demonstrated instrumentation knowledge and ability to assemble instrument trays correctly.
* SRACA Membership (Sterilising Research & Advisory Council of Australia) – desirable.
* Availability across all shifts: AM, PM, Nights plus 24/7 on‑call roster.
* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements.
