We are seeking a passionate and visionary Executive Chef with a strong background in Italian cuisine to lead and inspire the culinary operations at one of the Group's landmark regional properties. The hotel's Italian restaurant, is celebrated for its warm, authentic hospitality and fresh, seasonal menus that showcase the best of Italian cuisine in the Pilbara region.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, from menu design and food preparation to cost control and team development. You will play a key leadership role in driving quality, innovation, and consistency across all dining outlets and events, ensuring every guest enjoys an outstanding culinary experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented kitchen team to deliver high-quality, consistent cuisine.
* Develop and implement creative, seasonal menus with a strong focus on Italian flavours and modern techniques.
* Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service standards across all outlets and functions.
* Manage food and labour costs within budgetary guidelines.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.
* Collaborate closely with hotel management to drive guest satisfaction and business performance.
* Foster a positive kitchen culture that encourages learning, teamwork, and professional growth.
ABOUT YOU
* Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a hotel or upscale dining environment.
* Strong background and passion for Italian cuisine.
* Creative flair and a deep understanding of modern culinary trends.
* Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost control.
* A hands-on, motivated leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.
* Ability to prepare and maintain staff rosters efficiently.
* All relevant culinary qualifications and certifications including current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent qualification.
