This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join a renowned business in the manufacturing industry based in Sydney's West. Due to continued year-on-year growth, our client is now looking to build out capabilities in the finance function for enhanced reporting. This is a 5‐days on‐site position.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will have ownership over the group's consolidated financial reporting, statutory tax and audit compliance and management reporting for the wider business.
* Preparation of monthly financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash‐flow) and management of the General Ledger
* Preparation of consolidated financial statements for the group
* Complete monthly WIP calcs and revenue recognition. Manage accruals, journals, depreciation schedules and fixed assets register.
* Prepare statutory tax compliance – BAS, IAS, Payroll and year‐end tax returns.
* Maintain and develop internal risk governance and internal controls
The Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Ability to work in the office 5 days per week
* Previous experience working in a fast‐paced and evolving work environment
* 3–5+ years of experience in financial reporting and tax compliance
* Strong understanding of Australian Accounting standards
* Exposure to multiple ERP systems
* Proficient user of MS Office and possesses Advanced Excel skills.
* Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
