Casual Shop Assistant – Monash Country Club Pro Shop
Monash Country Club is a private members’ golf club located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in a stunning bushland setting.
We are seeking a motivated Casual Shop Assistant to join our Golf Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a professional sporting environment, with potential to grow and develop within the business.
Reporting to the Director of Golf, the successful applicant will be well presented, reliable, organised, and self-motivated, with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. The ability to work effectively as part of a professional team is essential.
Please note: Weekend and public holiday availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to members and guests.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Professional Shop in line with Club policies and procedures.
- Maintain the Professional Shop presentation to a high standard.
- Support competition administration, including timesheets, results, and daily operations.
- Assist with golf equipment repairs and provide support for teaching and fitting services.
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and technologies to enhance the shop’s operations.
- Assist with the management of the golf cart fleet, club storage, and driving range ball collection.
- Build positive working relationships with staff, members, and visitors.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude.
Knowledge of golf and its etiquette (preferred but not essential).
- MiClub system knowledge (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and contribute across a variety of tasks.
Remuneration
An attractive hourly rate will be offered in line with the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award, to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
