Are you a confident and capable Receptionist looking to elevate your career into the legal world? I am currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Legal Receptionist/PA role for a well-established and reputable law firm located in the heart of the Eastern suburbs.
In this role, you'll go beyond the front desk, supporting the legal team with a variety of administrative and legal secretary duties. It's the perfect blend of client-facing professionalism and behind-the-scenes legal support, with room to grow and develop your skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
PLEASE NOTE: This position does require you to work from the office 5 days a week, and you must be a Permanent Resident or an Australian Citizen to apply.
Your new role
* Reception duties and general administrative duties including: answering the phone, collecting post, ordering stationery, keeping the boardroom and reception areas presentable
* Managing the general inbox
* Banking
* Client billing and invoicing.
* Opening, maintaining, closing files and archiving in accordance with the firm's standard processes.
* Assisting the principal and any other solicitor or staff member in the firm with all aspects of legal practice.
* Assist staff in the performance of their duties, including notifying staff when absent from the office of intended activities and estimated time of return.
* Attending meetings from time to time when requested by the managing partners.
* Comply with all processes regarding professional appearance and presentation.
What you'll need to succeed
* Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook and Excel
* Previous experience with LEAP software is desired but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Clear client focus
* Sound ethics
* Ability to work as a team player
* Ability to focus on the full client cycle from opening client files, through to billing and matter closing.
* A proactive approach to working cooperatively with all other staff, both support and professional staff, is a requirement of this position.
