Join to apply for the Production - Mill Production Operator role at Ridley Corporation Ltd.
Ridley has been an integral part of Australian agriculture for over 30 years. Our purpose is to lead animal nutrition by solving the production challenges of today and tomorrow. We are seeking a Mill Production Operator to join our team in Maffra on a rotating shift structure (currently day and afternoon shift). Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with relevant OHS/WHS legislation and take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions.
- Co-operate with any reasonable instruction, policy and procedure.
- Not intentionally (or recklessly) interfere with, or misuse, anything provided at the workplace in the interests of health, safety or welfare.
- Identify and report all hazards, near misses, injuries, illnesses and incidents.
- Demonstrate care for others and Ridley product and property.
Quality
- Attend and participate in all relevant training and personal development.
- Actively participate in planned site meetings.
- Comply with HACCP requirements and assist in maintaining HACCP accreditation.
- Understand and be aware of Feedsafe requirements and assist in maintaining Feedsafe accreditation.
- Participate in the site Continuous Improvement program.
Production
- Plan and execute all aspects of the manufacturing process within acceptable tolerances and site targets.
- Empty storage silo of finished product into designated tote bins.
- Prepare and fill bulk bags of finished feeds as required.
- Accurate inventory reconciliation and reporting to site management.
- Ensure plant and equipment meet specified standards and are in safe working condition.
- Report staff and workplace issues to the Site Manager, focusing on continual improvement.
- Follow directives from the Shift Supervisor, Site Manager or Delegate and identify non-conformances as per Ridley process.
- Test and unload incoming raw materials and products; test and load outgoing finished products; check and verify incoming materials.
- Prepare hand tip weighing of premixes for each production run and learn key production requirements to support the Shift Supervisor.
Key Requirements
- Sound knowledge of OH&S; and Environmental Policies and Legislation.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a team to meet targets; reliable and motivated.
- Sound computing skills (Office and AX programs).
- Current Driver's Licence; current Forklift Licence.
