Senior Financial Accountant – Hands-On Role in a Growing Technology Consultancy

Solutions+ is a growing technology consulting firm delivering ERP, digital transformation, and managed services across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Financial Accountant to join our Adelaide team and support the next phase of our growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will own invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial controls.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes full ownership of their work. You'll work closely with project managers, managers, and service delivery leaders, contributing directly to the financial integrity of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
– Prepare all customer invoices including ERP project billing and software licence renewals
– Manage accounts receivable, debtor collections, and payment monitoring
– Process supplier invoices, credit card reconciliations, and weekly/fortnightly payments
– Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet items, and inter-company transactions
– Prepare month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments
– Assist with monthly P&L, management accounts, and variance reporting
– Maintain the asset register and depreciation schedules
– Monitor cash flow and manage working capital activities
– Support BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and annual audit requirements
– Maintain and improve financial systems (Business Central / Wiise, Excel, Sharperlight)
– Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
About You
You will bring a high level of accuracy, accountability, and initiative. This role works best for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and improving processes while keeping the foundations running smoothly.
You will have:
– Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
– CA/CPA (or working towards) preferred
– 2+ years in financial accounting or a similar hands-on role
– Strong experience across AP, AR, invoicing, and reconciliations
– Solid understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting
– Proficiency with Business Central / Wiise (or similar ERP) and Excel
– Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style
Highly regarded: Experience in technology, ERP, or professional services environments.
