Job Role:
We are seeking skilled individuals to provide support and assistance to tradespersons on mechanical repairs and servicing of mobile and fixed plant equipment.
This position is residential in Kalgoorlie, based out of our local service centre, working Monday - Friday (10 hour days).
* General maintenance and upkeep of workshop facilities
* Assistance to tradespeople – a mix of Diesel Fitters, LV Fitters, Boilermakers, Electricians, & Auto Electricians;
* Cleaning of machinery including high pressure washing
* Parts and supplies running between work site and workshop
* Supporting the efficient maintenance and repair of fixed and mobile plant & equipment
* Participation in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required
* Completion of pre start checks prior to use of equipment
* Conducting Take 5's and JSA's when necessary
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience as a Labourer or Trades Assistant
* Mechanical aptitude
* Ability to work well with others in a team environment and unsupervised
* Effective communication skills, both verbally and written
* A positive attitude upholding safe work practices.
