About Our Client
Our client in the mining sector is seeking a versatile Data Analyst / Data Engineer Hybrid to strengthen their data capability. This role is ideal for someone who can work across the data lifecycle, designing and maintaining data pipelines, modelling and transforming data, and delivering actionable insights through analytics and reporting.
You will work closely with operational, commercial, and technical teams to support data-driven decision making across the organisation.
Job Description Data Engineering
* Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL and Snowflake.
* Develop and optimise data models, schemas, and data warehousing structures.
* Ensure data is accurate, reliable, and available to downstream consumers.
* Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and performance enhancements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
* Analyse operational and business datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
* Translate business requirements into technical solutions and reporting assets.
* Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and commercially meaningful way.
Data Governance & Collaboration
* Support data governance standards, documentation, and definitions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across mining operations, planning, maintenance, and finance.
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in data management and analytics maturity.
The Successful Applicant
* 2-5 years in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a hybrid role.
* Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced query writing, optimisation).
* Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modelling, pipelines, Snowflake SQL, warehouses).
* Demonstrated experience with data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schema, fact/dimension design).
* Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, modelling, dashboard design).
* Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and best practices.
* Ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders and turn business needs into data solutions.
